Travel + Health Insurance
Women Escape (WE) highly recommends Clients obtain travel medical insurance with a minimum medical coverage of $100,000 while traveling with WE. This insurance should cover personal injury and emergency medical expenses including, but not limited to, helicopter evacuation, air ambulance, and repatriation.


Our priority is to keep you as safe and happy as possible throughout your Women Escape Retreat. Unfortunately, we can’t always control everything and so it is a must to have travel insurance in place if you are going to join us on Women Escape Retreats. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance from the moment of your holiday booking. This will protect you in the unfortunate case of something arising before you travel to your Women Escape Retreat to ensure that you are covered for any lost costs and flights.

You should also check with your doctor that you are sufficiently fit and healthy to undertake any other physical activity we have arranged that you choose to participate in or you may arrange during your holiday. Please check with your own doctor that you are adequately fit. If you experience any injury or discomfort during any activity organized for you, then you must stop immediately and advise your Women Escape team accordingly.

It is strongly recommended the coverage be extended to include cancellation, curtailment, and all other expenses that might arise as a result of loss, damage, injury, delay or inconvenience occurring to the Client during travel. WE shall have no liability for loss, theft of or damage to baggage or personal effects. Personal belongings lost or stolen while unattended by the client in public lounges or other public areas, whether on board a train, bus, or other modes of transportation, publicly owned or operated by WE or elsewhere, are not reimbursable. Losses due to ordinary wear and tear, and other acts of God are not reimbursable. WE cannot accept responsibility for and in no event shall be liable for loss or damage of valuables or other articles left in or on facilities used by WE such as hotels, huts, or other accommodation, expedition vehicles, or any other mode of transportation.

The Client acknowledges that the cost of WE retreats do not include insurance and that the Client has been advised to obtain separate coverage at an additional cost. When obtaining travel insurance the Client must ensure the insurer is aware of the type of travel to be undertaken.

It is up to each individual to ensure that their insurance is adequate for the retreat they have booked. Any claims concerning matters for which you are insured must be directed to your insurers. If you participate in any extra activities outside the retreat such as Surfing, Horseback Riding, Cycling, Trekking, Kayaking etc you must have insurance that will cover these activities. WE is not liable for non-compliance to this and the passenger accepts responsibility for obtaining any travel insurance required for the holiday and the activities you wish to do while on holiday.

Any information or advice provided by WE on matters such as permits, visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, special equipment, airlines, and travel connections etc. is given in good faith but without responsibility on the part of WE, and the passenger accepts responsibility for obtaining any necessary visas and travel documents required for the holiday.

When to Purchase

Please also note that many travel insurance plans have a timeframe within which you need to purchase the insurance from the date of your first payment of a flight, tour and other arrangements. With Cancel for Any Reason insurance, this window is usually within 10-21 days of first trip payment. You can purchase most other non CFAR policies up until the day before departure, however, you may not be eligible for some time sensitive benefits if you do not purchase within 10-30 days of the initial trip deposit/payment.

Many plans will allow you to add on additional coverage after your initial policy purchase. For instance: you book your escape, get travel coverage for this and later add on your flights.
